Umnyama assists organisations to comply with organisational and legal requirements.

Some organisations are in trouble, and need help. Or some have just started out, and need guidance. The board members fail to meet, they fail to submit financial and operational reports to the Department of Social Development (DSD), and the DSD threatens to withhold funding, or cancel funding entirely. Umnyama assisted 30 senior clubs all over the Western Cape to get back in line, compliant with the DSD’s rules and regulations. Umnyama has drawn up a plan of action for each and every one of these clubs, and in close consultation with the clubs, assisted them to resolve problems within the clubs.

•  Workshops.

  Umnyama has an outstanding, twenty-year track record in organising workshops on behalf of a number of organisations.

•  Research.

  Umnyama’s expertise in human rights has led to collaborations with overseas and local organisations and governments.

•  Puppet shows

  Umnyama, in collaboration with FOUKIDS and the Western Cape Department of Social Development, has been offering educational puppet shows since 2008.
