Founded in 1999, Umnyama raises human rights awareness among vulnerable communities in the Western Cape by means of workshops, publications, puppet theatre, research, and consulting & mentoring.
Umnyama is a certified non-profit organisation based in the Western Cape, South Africa.
Umnyama has an outstanding, twenty-year track record in conducting workshops, research and consulting on behalf of a number of organisations, including the Western Cape Department of Social Development. We are especially proud of our expertise on the (human) rights of vulnerable groups, including labour rights and the rights of older persons.
